Last Tuesday actors John Travolta, 56, and Kelly Preston, 47, welcomed a
new addition to their family. The couple welcomed a baby boy, they named their son
Benjamin. The newest member of the Travolta family is their third child.
Benjamin Travolta weighed 8 lbs, 3oz when he was born in a hospital in Florida.
He and his mother are said to be doing well and surrounded by family. Preston told
PEOPLE magazine about her preparations for the new arrival. She and her 10-year-old
daughter Ella have been decorating and planning since they found out.
The couple suffered the tragic death of the oldest son Jett back in 2009 when he
suffered a seizure during a family vacation. He suffered from Kawasaki disease since
birth and was autistic; from this he had a history of seizures. He died at the age of 16.
Since finding about the pregnancy the couple has stayed away from filming
movies in order to focus on the family. Now they can all enjoy one another’s time during
this holiday season.
