From Flab to Fab: My Weightloss Update

You all have followed me from the very beginning of my weightloss journey and I just want to keep you all updated because all of my hard work is truly paying off.  I feel terrific and am so happy to report that I actually like what I am seeing in the mirror these days but I still have a some more weight to lose.

I have of course stopped the juice fast because that was temporary just to jump off my new low calorie- high fiber diet.  I will probably be doing another one this weekend since I have reached a bit of a plateau and have maintained the same weight for about a week now.

Here is what I am doing as of now with my weight and diet.  I start each morning with a slimfast  and then I have a bottle of water and head off to the gym for about two hours.  I start my workout with cardio usually I run 3 miles on the treadmill at 4 to 5 mph with a 4 incline.  I do this for about 5 mins and then I up the mph to 6 or 7 for about 1 - 2 minutes then drop back down to 4-5 mph for 5 mins again.  I do this over and over again until I hit 3 miles.

Then I began my weight training and make my way around the gym's cybex machines.  I do this work out Monday-Friday and at home I run about 20mins before I turn in for the night.

After my workout I have a Yoplait Light yogurt and then at lunch I have either a small sandwich (whole wheat) chicken or turkey sandwich measured out to the serving sizes on the package.  I of course drink some more water and then about 2 or 3 hours before I am done with work for the day I have a Special K 90 calorie bar.  For dinner I usually have either a small salad, salmon, sandwich or just a bowl of Special K cereal.  Keep in mind that I measure every single thing that I make.  I also make my own juice to drink with my meal so that I know that I am getting all the nutrients from the fruits and vegetables.

My diet of course isn't for everyone but I am really determined to lose the rest of the weight and take my life and my body back 100%.

I currently have 39 days to lose the rest of my weight.  Do you guys think I will make it to 115 by Feb 18th?

Update on My Juice Fast and Body Wrapping (9lbs down)

Tomato Juice in a glas, decorated with tomato ...Image via WikipediaLast time you all heard from me I was starting a juice fast and was doing a body wrap that involved wrapping my problem areas in plastic wrap.   So here is where I am with that so far (pictures are at the end).

I will start with how much I lost and then  I will move on to some of the things that I learned.  I lost 9lbs total which makes me so happy and even after I finished the juice fast and I didn't gain it all back which makes me very very happy.

Now I didn't make it the full week but I did make it 4 days which proved to be just the right amount of days for this type of fast.  The first day was the hardest but once I got over that hump I was good to go.  I woke up from day one feeling like I wanted to die but after I had my morning juice I felt great.  I actually never felt hungry during the entire fast because the juice contained fruits that were really filling but your mind is still use to food so you still crave all the things that you ate before but with willpower it is much easier to get over the hump.  Days 3 and 4 were not bad at all I looked forward to the juice and it really worked great.

Do It Yourself Body Wrap for Weightloss

We all know by now that I am getting really serious about my weight loss journey so on Thursday I left work and went and had a body wrap.  It was amazing I was instantly addicted but they are so expensive so I paid close attention to what they did at the spa and I created my own body wrap technique at home that I must say works like a charm to help lose the extra inches.

I am sure that most of you have heard of body wraps and know all the different benefits of getting a body wrap.  So if you all are interested in testing out my technique for yourself.  I taped this video on Friday after I had already done about 3 previous body wraps the night before.

The spa recommends having about 5-6 sessions of body wraps which can be very expensive but the technique that I came up with will only cost you about 30 bucks and you can accomplish the 5-6 sessions in your own home.

What You Will Need

Heated Electric Blanket or Heating Pad
Plastic Wrap
Cellulite Smoothing Gel
Vitamin E Oil

You can also add the essential oils of your choice depending on what you are trying to accomplish with your wrap.

Basically this wrap works just like using a postpartum girdle except your not only using your own body heat but you are also using the heat from your heated electric blanket/pad.  Also using the gel and the Vitamin E helps you with those problem areas.

I'm Going on a Juice Fast

If you all have read my post I Just Had a Baby Doesn’t Work (3 years later) you will know that I am on a quest to lose the extra pounds in time for my visit back home in Feb. I started at the beginning of this month and have been working with a trainer every single day but I feel realized that I really wanted to share my journey with you all so every Friday I will come and post my progress and other things concerning my weight loss plan and goals.
My starting weight as of Dec 1st was 142 which is extremely high for me I am only 5’3 and am normally around 115 lbs on a good day. So as you can see my dilemma I am not feeling anywhere near up to par for going back home to good ol’ Oklahoma. My current goal is to get back down to at least 125lbs by the time that I leave to go home on Feb 18th.
I know that in order to get myself to my pre baby body I am going to have to work my buns off and there is going to be lots of sweat involved and maybe a few tears and set backs. Like I said I started about 2 weeks ago going to the gym every single day and have already dropped down to 135lbs so I am on the right track and having the support in the gym helps me tremendously.
Since I have gotten really serious about what I am doing I have gone out and bought myself new workout clothes and shoes just for the gym. I even am outfitted with a super stylish 24oz Aluminum water bottle courtesy of Cool Gear International (I am giving cool gear inc water bottles away here). So I am all set to get myself on track and I am extremely motivated.
