The Perfect Gift

My son's birthday is in about two weeks and I have been scratching my head and wondering what else can I get him he is only going to be three and I wanted to find something that he could really feel connected to.

So in my search I stumbled upon a great site that sells customized books for kids. I think my son will really enjoy being a part of the story since he is in that me me me phase that kids go through. I read to him every night so I may have found the perfect gift after all.


I asssume the only draw back of this is when your kid gets older and you are trying to hawk off all of his stuff at a garage sale it may be a little hard since the book was writen which his name but maybe your child could just name his or her child the same name (that recycling for you...see I am thinking green)

Today was My Day

So today was my birthday and things were great. I took the little one to school and I spent the day with me myself and I. I got a chance to really catch up on some much needed chores around the house ( I know this doesn't sound like fun but for me I was happy just to be able to accomplish something in peace and quite). So my hubby calls and tells me to get ready to go to lunch I told him I would rather stay in and do my b-day here at the house. The pictures that follow show just how crazy and unconventional we really are (or maybe they just show how desperate we are to have a drink while the little one is out) Also check out the awesome gift my husband made for me (that's right he made it because he is a great artist)

Just wanted to let you all in on the fact that today is my day and I am off and away Happy Birthday to who of all people but me me me!!!!

The Birthday Party Shuffle

I am sure you mommies out here know what the Birthday Party Shuffle is it’s the crazy amount of invitations that your child receives from school from all the kids in his class throughout the year. When my son was much younger this was not at all an issue but as he and his classmates get older the birthday party invitations come rolling in.

Cake Crazy

I am currently planning my two year old son Daylan’s third birthday and am having the hardest time finding the perfect cake for his big day. I have combed the web looking for the perfect cake to basically top the cake that I had made for his first birthday.
