As an active duty member of the United States Coast Guard and a full time mom and student. I must say that I am a little put off by the fact that there are not more websites dedicated to moms that serve in the military. There are tons of resources for spouses but not all women stay at home and tend to the kids while their husbands go out and protect the country there are women that go out the door everyday to do the same thing and have to come home and be mommy too.
I scoured the net looking for some resources for women like us and here are a few of the sites and articles that I found geared directly toward moms serving in the military…

We are definitely not acknowledged enough. I am not at all down playing what the stay at home military spouses do but us moms who go out the door to protect out country and then come home and raise our kids are extraordinary and there are so little resources out there for women like us. If you know of any other really good resources for active duty mothers let me know.
