Are Teens Using the Internet to Get High?

If your reading the title and thing holy hell what is she talking about that just sound ridiculous well I said the exact same thing. I don't know how many of you have heard about this but it was a story ran on the local news in my home state of Oklahoma in a town called Mustang.

Apparently drug dealers are tempting teens with mp3's that will induce a euphoric state similar to marijuana, cocaine, opium and peyote. Through a set of headphones kids can find themselves feeling high with out any of the signs of drug use. The mp3's that the digital drug dealers are pedelling are a series of different sounds one so called track is called "The Gates of Hades". School official set out to warn parents of that there kids were being targeted to start what is being coined as "i-dosing".

This sounds very far fetched to me but school officials are worried that this will be a gateway to harder drugs and a way for drug dealers to entice children into picking up the habit. This personally sounds like no drug I would want to do it requires a 40 page manual in order to even receive the desired effects. Reading the manual would kill any hopes of a high in my opinion.

I assume now a company will pop up to start drug testing computers in the near future.

My verdict is still out on if this is even a real threat or not but you be your own judge here is the news report from News Channel 9 (Please don't judge us Oklahoman's we really aren't crazy or backwards)

I don't think it's just teens that are at risk here! I didn't even know that this was possible! I think this sort of thing only works if you want it to (sort of like hypnosis) I listened to it and I didn't get high (but then again I didn't want to)

I had no clue it was possible either. I was amazed that someone would have even come up with such a thing. I think that you are right that it is some sort of hypnosis and I think that the reason that teens are at risk are because they are so easy to influence and are willing to jump on just about anything.
