I'm Going on a Juice Fast

If you all have read my post I Just Had a Baby Doesn’t Work (3 years later) you will know that I am on a quest to lose the extra pounds in time for my visit back home in Feb. I started at the beginning of this month and have been working with a trainer every single day but I feel realized that I really wanted to share my journey with you all so every Friday I will come and post my progress and other things concerning my weight loss plan and goals.
My starting weight as of Dec 1st was 142 which is extremely high for me I am only 5’3 and am normally around 115 lbs on a good day. So as you can see my dilemma I am not feeling anywhere near up to par for going back home to good ol’ Oklahoma. My current goal is to get back down to at least 125lbs by the time that I leave to go home on Feb 18th.
I know that in order to get myself to my pre baby body I am going to have to work my buns off and there is going to be lots of sweat involved and maybe a few tears and set backs. Like I said I started about 2 weeks ago going to the gym every single day and have already dropped down to 135lbs so I am on the right track and having the support in the gym helps me tremendously.
Since I have gotten really serious about what I am doing I have gone out and bought myself new workout clothes and shoes just for the gym. I even am outfitted with a super stylish 24oz Aluminum water bottle courtesy of Cool Gear International (I am giving cool gear inc water bottles away here). So I am all set to get myself on track and I am extremely motivated.
Today is a special day because I am currently starting my juice fast which will last for one full week. I am a very busy lady so I had to make it as easy for myself as possible (as you will see below). I went out and bought myself an awesome juicer (Black & Decker JE2200B 400-Watt Fruit and Vegetable Juice Extractor with Custom Juice Cup)that was extremely affordable and then Daylan and I headed off to the grocery store to stock up on fruits and veggies.
To my amazement buying healthy foods cost far more than buying junk food I guess I will be broke and healthy. So here is how my juice fast will work:
First thing in the morning I will have a bottle of water about 30mins later I will have my first glass of fresh juice which I call My Morning Mix:
Morning Mix
12 Raspberries
6 Strawberries
5 Mango Slices
1 Nectarine
1 cup of Spinach
1 Carrot
(Notice that I prepare the next days juices all the night before. I prepare all the fruit and vegetables and baggie them up so I just have to grab the bag and stick everything in the juicer.)
Between the breakfast juice and the second glass of fresh juice which I will call Loaded Lunch Mix I have to have 2 bottles of water.
During my normal lunch time I will have my Loaded Lunch Mix after between this mix and the Divine Dinner Mix I will have another 2 bottles of water:
Loaded Lunch Mix
1 cup Spinach
1/3 cup blueberries
1 Watermelon Chunk
1 cup Cantaloupe
20 red Grapes
1 Celery Stalk
1 Apple w/skin
Once my normal dinner time rolls around I will have my Divine Dinner Mix after this mix make sure to have a bottle of water before bed time. I will end up consuming 6 bottles of water (101.4 FL oz total):
Divine Dinner Mix
1 cup Spinach
1 Tomato
20 white Grapes
1 Kiwi
1 Orange
1 Banana

Come back next Friday and I will let you all know how my week long juice fast went.

Best of luck! I can't believe you are starting right before Christmas! I hope it works well for you!

I can sympathize with the weight thing. I'm five one and am 143 lbs. I've never be smaller than 130 as an adult, but my goal is to be 125 by May for my son's birthday.

Congratulations on your success so far. My goal is to get down to 130 by my birthday. I only have 28 days left, so it is official crush time. Can't wait to hear how your juice fast goes. Oh, and yes eating healthy is a lot more expensive than eating junk food. That was what got me to the weight I am now.

Losing Brownies I am starting now because I am not really doing anything special for Christmas. I am not in my home state so I don't have any family or friends that will be here so there won't be any Christmas dinners or anything like that. Good luck on your weight loss goal as well.

Chanel thank you I have a long way to go but I am happy with my success far. I think that the juice fast will help my new low calorie diet and get me back on track for when my trainer returns from Christmas holiday.

Good luck on the juice fast. I need to do one and I've been wanting a good juicer since then.

Petula thank you I have been reading up on it for a while and I also didn't want to spend a ton of money on a juicer so when I found the Black and Decker one I jumped on it because it was right up my alley as far as what I needed it to do and what I wanted to spend. Now buying all the fruit was expensive.
