According to Google this site is X-Rated

Recently I was contacted by the computers over at Google, I say this because I believe that Google is controlled completely by computers. They contacted me to tell me that they were disabling my AdSense account because The Mommy Chronicles is an adult site. Okay people I want you all to take a look around and tell me how it is possible that this is an adult site. Last time I checked I have never even used the word sex on this site, okay well I just did but not before this.

Google has lost major points in book not to mention the fact that they have no customer service of any type that you can talk directly to. I had actually heard stories of people being disabled as soon as their accounts reached a certain amount but I never would have thought that Google would stoop so low as to say that my entire site was an adult site.

So what did I do I went to the google forums which is the only thing you can do and I posted a question regarding my site. The responses that I got back as to why I couldn’t talk to anyone at Google made me even more furious with them. I was told that Google services to many people so it is impossible for them to have customer service. WHAT!? Listen Google you’re not the only company in the world and most big companies have millions of customers and they still have customer service reps there to help people out so please get off your high horse use some of the AdSense money your hoarding and hire some actual people to review sites and take customer service calls.

Anyway I can’t totally hate them yet since Google is pretty much my answer for most questions I get even at work.

Here is the email that I was sent…..

Hmm... It s that beautiful woman with that sexy wink that you have in your heading. Or it could be the popover add that comes up every time you hit the post comment button..

Da Dude lol yeah that lady is pretty sexy that wink probably caused a glitch over at google. As for the pop up ads I just recently started to see them and they just started showing up a week ago and they threw me off guard. I am not sure where the pop up ads are coming from and when I did see it I thought I was the only one that was getting them guess not I will have to look into the ads further. Thanks for the input.

This is hilarious: I don't think your site has anything x-rated on it! But seriously, how can you even deal with a company that has no customer service?

Danielle said...

UAN I was laughing when I got the email and I thought oh this has to be a joke or a mix up. I seriously but faith in Google that they would fix this if they knew about it. So I figured I will give there customer service a call and then I found out they don't have any customer service and then I got all mad and took it to their forums. It was there that I found a ton of other people that had been disabled to and I realized that Google probably wasn't going to fix anything they were just going to keep the money that I had earned and go on being Google, I was so mad.

Do you think they thought that of your pregnancy photos?

Lol...

That's dumb...

Danielle said...

Helena that did pop into my mind but at the time I gave Google more credit but maybe they thought I was doing my own version of pregnancy porn over here.

I think Google just needs to get a clue and actually start reviewing the sites their computers are shutting down. What makes it worse is that Google realizes they have a problem and they stated it in their forums but they aren't doing anything about it but saying were sorry. Well sorry doesn't give me my money back.

hi Danielle! I observed that your site, when I tried to scroll down the page, opened another ad site. I don't know what it was, I just hit the back button. But yeah, so far, two sites I visited today had that "annoying" ad site...what was that btw?

Danielle said...

Pearl I am not sure what is going on with those pop up ads I can't really look into it like I would like today because I have a ton of home work, and a sick kid. I have been answering most comments from the emergency room. But I do plan on fixing this I think that maybe one of the ad companies that I work with slipped those pop ups in. It will probably be toward the end of the week before I get it totally resolved.

You're lucky! They totally deleted a blog that I had kept for 4 years, with no warning, no notice! (Luckily, I saved it on my harddrive using a free software I found on the net.) EVERY WEEK I use blogspot's back-up feature to save my work!

By the way - your blog is really great and it's a shame they don't penalize (I won't name them) blogs that are on blogspot promoting female porn stars!

There is probably some kind of glitch with the ad sense thing. I see so many pop-ups in the left side of your page that I really can't read what you have behind it anymore. If you click on any of the ads to get them to go off, they don't they take you to other pages, ones sometimes that aren't even the ad you clicked on to get off. So there is some glitch somewhere probably.

Danielle said...

Ifhpueblo thank you for letting me know that. I think that different browsers see the page differently but I am working with a new designer and should have the updated layout rolled out in the next few days to a week. I think that once she gets done that alot of the problems will be fixed. When I view the page at work it looks all kinds of jacked up but when I look at it here at my house using firefox it looks fine. Bare with me please I am going to get everything back in working order so that it is 10times easier to navigate than it is at the moment.

oh-uh! that's too bad! your site seems to be very informative and child-friendly. Google lost one great site. There are a lot of opportunities out there. Good luck

Thanks for visiting. This post makes me think my application to "monetize" my blog will probably get denied since I used the word 'orgasm' and 'porn' in yesterday (or the day before's) post. Of course, I was talking about FOOD :D It's ridiculous that computers control everything with no real people to oversee what is going on!

Danielle said...

Thank You Sound Proud International...I am no longer sweating Google but I would hate for this to happen to any of my other fellow bloggers.

Wow crazy town about Google. Anyways I'm already a follower and so glad you decided to follow back. Looking forward to reading more of your blog :)

tixcomix said...

hey did you ever find out what triggered google to ban your blog?

Danielle said...

tixcomix no I never found out what happened my question is still open in the Google forum's but none of them could actually give me a valid reason as to why I was sent that email or why my account was disabled. No answers from them but like I said they are run by computers. I actually saw a picture of the employee's of Google and it looks like they have 20 people working there so I figure no one will ever get to me because I am just one of millions of people they service and they don't have time for a little ol blogger like me.

I saw your post on SITS and checked out your blog. The GOOGLE thing is nuts. I'm going to follow you so I can keep up.

If you wouldn't mind checking me out at www.chicbusymom.blogspot.com I would appreciate it.

I'm kind of new to this so any feedback you can provide I would be open to.

Oh and I forgot to mention that one person from the forums said that maybe I got shut down because of naked babies....I was like what I don't have any naked babies on my page it was just pure craziness. Then another person told me they thought it was because I did bloghops every answer just made me more frustrated.

Google can be a real pain to work with. I had some issues with them for Adwords. I have an Ad for my home business on there and they kept saying I was in violation of some rule. Turned out to be a computer glitch on their end. Lost weeks of advertising though since there is no "human" to talk to there. I happened twice...

If this is porn...it is really really tame! :)

Have a good night, and good luck!

I wonder if it might not have been an Entrecard ad that was too racy? I've seen some really racy Entrecard ads on some of the blogs I've visited lately. I'm talking nearly naked women, etc on the ads. :/

I think some sites are requesting ad time on a blog and then changing their ad square to an inappropriate one after the ad is approved.

I haven't gotten any pop overs, pop ups, or anything like that from your blog, and FireFox hasn't told me that it has blocked any either. :)

Elvira's Roundabout said...

Blame your looks hahaha... you should not be posting photo of yourself as you are sexy so the Google computer was confused lol

Danielle said...

Elvira's Roundabout...LOL...oh yea thats a good one. I think I might go to their forum and say I got disabled because I am hot, and see what they say...They will probably just shut down all my other google accounts.

Charity I never thought about the EntreCard ads as a possible issue. I think that google should have included a screen shot of the thing that was deemed as adult content.

Jodi I tried out AdWords but they were sending me some weird traffic that I didn't feel was remotely what I was looking for. I think that maybe google AdWords had something to do with my Adsense being disabled.

Dave you are lucky that you backed it up. I had a scare a few weeks ago when they shut this site down but then they reactivated it with out me saying anything but I was almost in tears when I thought that I had lost it.

Mama Mo just be aware that you may lose the money that you generate from Adsense they are notorious for shutting sites down when they reach the amount to get paid. I would suggest looking into AdBrite they pay more and their payout threshold is lower so you will actually see your money.

Crazy!! My Adsense account was also disabled... I tried to get it reinstated but they denied me! My hubby thought is was a scam from the beginning!
